Paz Gutierrez to Attend Summit of the Americas

Paz Gutierrez, a Senior Fellow in the Energy and Climate partnership of the Americas (ECPA), will be attending the Sixth Summit of the Americas, April 14-15, in Cartagena, Colombia. The Summit will bring together 24 heads of state and government to discuss the theme of "Connecting the Americas: Partners for Prosperity." At the Summit, Paz will present on disaster risk management and also serve as judge in the finals of the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas.

Nature's Toolbox - Field Museum Exhibition

The sucrose wall system developed by Paz Gutierrez in the study of bio-active matter for thermal and light transmission control will be on display at the Field Museum as part of the Nature's Toolbox Exhibition. This exhibition "features innovative, eye-capturing contemporary art which helps visitors understand and appreciate the life-or-death interdependence between the 10-20 million species on earth - including humans - and the quality of the environment we share."
